The Mortar Board National Conference brings together the presidents, other collegiate members and advisors of Mortar Board chapters for personal leadership development and chapter management training.

What is Mortar Board?
Mortar Board, Inc. is the premier national honor society that recognizes college seniors for distinguished ability and achievement in scholarship, leadership and service. It is a great honor to be selected for membership in Mortar Board. Our members are the “cream of the crop” and a perfect target audience for your company.
Who is in Mortar Board?
Members of Mortar Board must represent the values
of scholarship, leadership and service by being in the top 35 percent of their class, actively serving as leaders on or off campus, and showing a dedication to service. Mortar Board is a senior honor society;
students are selected near the end of their junior year and
must be able to serve at least one active term of membership
during their senior year. Additional requirements may
vary by chapter.
Who attends the Mortar Board National Conference?
Approximately 300 individuals attend the Mortar Board National Conference, including:
- All collegiate chapter presidents
- Other collegiate members from almost all chapters
- Advisors of collegiate chapters
- Alumni chapter presidents
- Members of the Mortar Board National Council
- Trustees of the Mortar Board National Foundation
- Great speakers and presenters
- Award winners
- Staff of the National Office
As student leaders, conference participants will be a gateway to Mortar Board's 6,000 collegiate members. These talented scholar-leaders are highly motivated, clever, impressionable, intelligent conduits for attitudes, products and ideas. They are change agents on their campuses—leaders of leaders.
What goes on at the Mortar Board National Conference?
The Mortar Board National Conference allows members, alumni and advisors to grow their leadership with personal and professional workshops, learn how to lead a group of leaders, and engage with other members from across the nation.
Members guide their own experience by choosing development topics that are beneficial to them personally as well as in their role as a chapter leader.
