Mortar Board alumni are invited to join us for our signature event, a candlelight banquet held during the Mortar Board National Conference.

For collegiate members, the conference and banquet are opportunities to learn the history and traditions of Mortar Board. For our alumni, it is a chance to find out what chapters are doing and to mingle with Mortar Board national leaders and distinguished guests.

The banquet offers Mortar Boards of all ages the chance to connect with each other. The prestigious Ruth Weimer Mount Chapter Excellence Award, Alumni Achievement Awards and the Distinguished Lifetime Membership Awards will be presented at the banquet.

Pay it forward: developing a new class of leaders

Each year, incoming chapter presidents and other officers have the chance to attend the Mortar Board National Conference, where they
experience first-hand the rich traditions and
history of our Society.

They learn from each other, share ideas and thoughts, and become equipped to lead their chapters through the upcoming year.

Mortar Board covers the cost of each chapter's official delegate—usually the chapter president. But the conference could also provide invaluable leadership development training for other chapter officers.

Often chapters do not have the funds to cover the cost of other officers' conference registration. Through our Pay-It-Forward campaign, you can help with the cost of sending the chapter president or other officers to the National Conference.

We have all had professors, mentors and advisors who were instrumental in our own leadership development. Now you can "pay it forward" and help develop new Mortar Board leaders!

Mortar Board Assistant Executive Director Megan Stevens was recently in Baltimore for the annual American College Personnel Association conference. On March 27 she hosted a tour of Oriole Park at Camden Yards for Mortar Board alumni. Below are a few photos from the tour.
