Involvement
opportunities at the national level
Intern with Mortar Board
Members have the opportunity to apply for a summer
internship at the Mortar Board National Office, where they will help prepare
and plan for the annual national conference, create official
publications, write stories for the Web site and e-newsletters,
solidify partnerships and much more.
Become a conference assistant
Recent graduates can share their expertise and utilize their
leadership techniques as conference
assistants at the annual
national conference of Mortar Board. There, they will
have the opportunity to meet advisors, alumni, national leadership
members, speakers and delegates from chapters across the nation.
Serve on the National Council while still in college
Members who still have one year to serve as an active collegiate
member can run for one of the coveted student representative spots on the National Council. As a member of the National
Council, they will have the opportunity to serve a two-year
term, execute future plans for the organization, make vital
decisions and travel to chapters as a national representative.
Become a section coordinator
Members of Mortar Board who are no longer collegiate members
are encouraged to stay involved by becoming a section coordinator. With
25 regional sections across the United States, Mortar Board’s
crucial section coordinators help maintain strong relationships
with collegiate chapters by communicating frequently, performing
official visits to chapters and attending events as a national
representative. Learn more about becoming a section coordinator
